hiya! my name is nova. im a twenty (20) year old weirdo, and this is my website, novaweb! great to meetchya! ヽ(o＾▽＾o)ノ

i've been making stuff on the internet for as long as i can remember. i uploaded my first youtube video when i was... i think 8 years old? and i was writing posts on online forums like gamefaqs even earlier. needless to say, the internet played an integral role in my upbringing and in no small part shaped me into the person i am today.

and now, after all my years of being severely online, i have a neocities! this place is basically my little compartment in cyberspace. if i make or do anything of note, it's probably gonna end up here.

funnily enough, this isn't actually my first website. i've been fooling around with web development for many years, and if i had to guess this would be my third or fourth proper site. it so happens, though, that this is the first one i'm actually taking seriously. i hope that reflects in the quality of the place!

i'm currently in college studying to become a journalist, so naturally, i'd have to be okay at writing. thats why i created the blog™, so i have a place where i can share all of my essays, analysis, critique, and research for all of you to enjoy! you can always find my latest entry by clicking the "recent blogpost" button on the homepage.

i also indulge in a myriad of other creative mediums. im a huge music nerd, so i also have an albums catalogue where i share my (objectively superior) music taste. i try to share as much music as i can, so, if you're looking for something to listen to, i've got you covered!

i'm also an avid manga reader (lucky star is my favorite, in case you couldn't tell). not much more to say about that though. i just like the cool japanese comics.

i'm also very active in the super smash bros. melee community. yes, the one for the gamecube. i'd ideally like to (eventually) share cool resources for new players and people looking to get into the scene. in addition, i'm a huge pokemon nerd, and i used to play that competitively too, so you'll probably see some of my love for the franchise bleed into other parts of the website.

what else about me... oh! i'm a sucker for vintage tech. specifically, i have a fascination with late 90's and early 2000s y2k-era stuff, so i'd love to write about tech phenomina of the past and show you some of my (evergrowing) collection of gadgets. if you have any cool ideas of old tech stories i should write about, or just want to share something cool with me, email me! you can reach me at niconiconova@protonmail.com :3
